Adventure School Plus is Adventure School for children 5+, bringing together homeschoolers and unschoolers for an afternoon of child-led play and adventures in a natural setting. Our playworkers create an environment where children are free to play, allowing them space to explore, imagine, and learn to take healthy risks. Meanwhile, our staff introduce loose parts and provide support to ensure that a broad range of play types are accessible to all children while respecting local biodiversity. Throughout this process, children have the opportunity to witness the changes that take place in local green spaces both on a daily basis as well as throughout the season, fostering a deep connection with the natural world and an understanding of their place within it.
While each session differs depending upon the children’s interests and the weather, activities might involve building forts, sliding down snow banks, playing in mud, using hand tools, and of course, climbing trees.
Adventure School Plus will be meeting outside. In the event of extreme weather (hail, thunderstorms, and extreme cold in the winter), Adventure School Plus will take place indoors. The extreme weather indoor meeting place is indicated in italics below.

Cost: $768 ($704 for Mondays) payable in monthly installments, $35 rebate for two children from the same family or two days, all fees eligible for the childcare tax credit
