Offer your child a different kind of after-school activity – one full of free play, imagination, exploration and curiosity, that fosters independent decision-making and practical problem-solving skills your child will use for the rest of their life.
Adventure Club brings free play to 5-10 year olds throughout the school year. While each session differs depending upon the children’s interests and the weather, activities might involve climbing rocks, finding caterpillars, playing in mud, using hand tools, building forts, the list goes on and on. Whatever we get up to, we are sure to have lots of creative exploration, physical activity and fun!
Led by trained Playworkers and drawing on Forest School principles, Adventure Club is a welcome release after a day at school. As groups are based at the same site for the entire session, children have the opportunity to foster a deep connection with the natural world, observing the changes that take place both on a daily basis as well as throughout the season.
In keeping with Forest School principles, Adventure Club will be meeting outside. In the event of extreme weather (hail, thunderstorms, and extreme cold in the winter), Adventure Club will take place indoors. The extreme weather indoor meeting place for each program is indicated in italics below.
