Adventure Club

PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY HOMESCHOOL ADVENTURE CLUBS WILL BE OFFERED FOR THE FALL 2020 SESSION. AFTERSCHOOL AND SATURDAY ADVENTURE CLUBS REMAIN ON HOLD DUE TO COVID-19.

If your family is looking for resources to help support play at home and in your community, we highly recommend the document Play in Crisis from the International Play Association. If you have a specific question, please feel free to write to our team. We love to talk about play and look forward to doing it again in person whenever possible.

Adventure Club brings free play to 5-10 year olds and for 3-5 year olds (on Saturdays) throughout the school year. While each session differs depending upon the children’s interests and the weather, activities might involve climbing rocks, finding caterpillars, playing in mud, using hand tools, building forts, the list goes on and on. Whatever we get up to, we are sure to have lots of creative exploration, physical activity and fun! As groups are based at the same site for the entire session, children have the opportunity to foster a deep connection with the natural world, observing the changes that take place both on a daily basis as well as throughout the season.

All of our programs meet outside with the possibility to move indoors to play in a warm space in the event of extreme weather (hail, thunderstorms, and extreme cold in the winter).
